Here are a few pictures from Abigail’s first few minutes on the outside.

Babies need to take baths every couple days so we have more opportunities for taking pictures. Recently we’ve improved our bathing techniques to the point where Abigail seems to actually enjoy the process. These pics are from a couple weeks back where she held a very different opinion.

Don’t know quite what to say. She’s awesome, amazing and inspiring all in one tiny little package. We’re both learning what it means and how to be parents. The last few weeks have been a lot of fun and a lot of work as we try to figure things out. Being a family of 3 is an adjustment. We wouldn’t want it any other way.

The Air Force Academy was the last stop on this trip to Colorado. Easily one of the largest and most beautiful campuses I’ve visited. The famed Cadet Chapel didn’t disappoint and is a great example of modernist architecture.

Cinema 4D is a 3D program I’ve known about for years but only recently really tried it out. My 3D background is mainly 3ds max – I have used it for probably 10 years and yet still feel like I hardly know it. Before that I was really into Truespace and before that, my first real exposure to a 3D program, was the original 3D Studio (the precursor to 3ds max). Each has had pluses and minuses and are all excellent choices. As my needs and requirements have changed I decided to snoop around and try to see what else could work for me.

Cinema 4D has largely been the answer for me. It’s different, I’m often lost and confused, but the concepts remain largely the same. Transitioning was quite straightforward and I’m excited about what can be done with this new tool. This rendering is from a tutorial I went through to help me further understand the program and work flow. Time to be creative….

Some shots from the park. We drove the Trail Ridge Road – I heartily recommend it. The ridge is about 10,000-12,000ft high and as you can see the views are particularly good. The tundra at that altitude combined with the rolling hills makes it quite different than most mountain peaks I’ve been to.

While in Colorado Ty and I tried our best to find some Aspen trees to shoot. Unfortunately there really aren’t too many in the areas we visited. We found a few that were bright and yellow but largely came up short. To really rub it Ty went out a couple weeks later to a location with an abundance of them and got some nice shots.

Last month I visited a friend out in Colorado. Ty and I had a bunch of fun exploring the area, shooting photos and just hanging out. Luckily we didn’t get into much trouble but there’s always next time. These pics are from our drive up PIkes Peak. The view is great at 14,110ft.
